• Account data: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, profile photo
• Educator data: qualifications, certifications, identity documents, teaching history
• Payment data: encrypted card details processed via Stripe; we do not store full card numbers
• Session data: booking history, session recordings (if enabled), chat logs
• Usage data: pages visited, search queries, device type, IP address

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the Brilia platform
• To verify educator credentials and maintain platform trust
• To process bookings and payments
• To send service communications and notifications
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with:

• Educators / Learners: necessary profile information to facilitate bookings
• Payment processors: Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant)
• Cloud infrastructure: AWS Singapore region (data residency in Singapore)
• Authorities: when required by law or court order

5. Data Retention

We retain account data for 3 years after account closure, payment records for 7 years (regulatory requirement), and session logs for 1 year.
